Would like information on the HARBIN families of Alachua County. Specifically, who were the parents of Franklin HARBIN who married Bella WALKER 20 Mar 1880; Julia HARBIN who married Frank THOMPSON 25 Apr 1884; and Clark M. HARBIN who married Margie ROW 11 Dec 1883? Would like anything about their ancestors names and homes.

Of my eight maternal great-great grandparents, seven moved to Alachua County from the Carolinas, circa 1850-1860. (One had died before the family moved.) McCollum PHIFER married Harriet C. HOWARD; Henry Vanlandingham MASSEY married Mary Anne JOHNSTON; James T. POWELL married Mary Anne STRINGFELLOW; Washington Whitfield GEIGER married Mary Anne HARDY. Seeking information on their families and contact with other descendants.

Seeking any information (obituaries, place of burial, marriages, children, etc.) on Julius BECKHAM. Julius was born in 1798 to Benjamin BECKHAM and Mildred Amelia BALLARD. He died on April 4, 1857 in Alachua County, FL. and is supposedly buried somewhere in the county. He married in 1820 to Mary Elizabeth Howard (I'm not positive on her name) in Lancaster County, SC. Their children were: Benjamin Troy (1821-1867); Mary Elizabeth (1823-1902); William Caswell (1825-1895); Robert James (1828-1922); Alexander C. (1833-1904); Marion Julius (1835-1917); and Joseph Murrah (1840-1902). Robert James and Marion Julius are buried in the Providence Cemetery in Windsor, FL. Alexander C. is buried in the City Cemetery in Waldo, FL. William Caswell is buried in Young County, TX while Joseph Murrah was buried in El Paso County, TX. The burial places of Julius, his wife, Benjamin Troy, and Mary Elizabeth (wife of William Tillman CHEVES) are unknown to me. Any information would be greatly appreciated.

I'm looking for any information regarding Augustus BECKHAM. I know that he married a woman named Ethel Alice HALL earlier this century (sorry for no specifics). They had a son named Wilbur BECKHAM (my maternal grandfather) in Alachua County.

Herman's other children were Jessie, Jonas, Jim, Kate m 8-17-1899 to Calvin DOUGLAS, and Lillie Mae b 7-10-1878, Melrose, Fla. Married at Mac Donald House, d 8-25-1933, Brooksville, Fla, m Howard Samuel LEWIS. Lots of help needed. Thanks.

Seek information on Penelope BARROW, my great-great grandmother. She was born at Hague, FL in 1825 and married John B. STANLEY on 2 Jan 1839. Their daughter, Laura Stanley, was born 28 Nov 1844 in Alachua, FL and she married John Boston DELL on 11 Oct 1860. Have information on Dell line and am happy to share.
