Morrow, Jessie I. Mathers

Jessie I. Morrow, 95, of Sheridan died Monday, Dec. 11, 2000, at Westview Health Care Center in Sheridan. Viewing is today until 5 p.m. at Ferries Funeral Home.

Graveside services are 11 a.m. Friday in Sheridan Municipal Cemetery, Elks section, with the Rev. Ronald Nelson officiating. Arrangements are with Ferries Funeral Home. Mrs. Morrow was born Dec. 26, 1904, in Heartwell, Neb., to Mervin and Matilda (Stahl) Mathers. She grew up and graduated high school in Nebraska. She attended nursing school in Hastings, Neb., and Wichita, Kan., graduating with her nursing degree. She married William Brommer Dec. 25, 1927, in Smith Center, Kan. They moved to Sheridan in 1928 and resided here the remainder of their lives. Mr. Brommer died in 1951. She married Paul Morrow Feb. 14, 1954. Mr. Morrow died in 1961. She was known to her friends as “Jimmie.” She enjoyed fishing, flowers, gardening playing cards with friends and loved being with her grandchildren. She was a 50-year member of the American Legion Auxiliary. Survivors include a daughter, Mona Bilyeu, Sheridan; a sister, Bonita Woodrow, Riverside, Calif.; four grandchildren; one great-grandson; three step-great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. Memorials are suggested to the Elks Cemetery Fund, Box 624, or Lifelink of Sheridan, Box 2094, or Senior Citizens Center, Meals on Wheels, 211 Smith St., Sheridan, WY 82801.
