Sheridan County ObituariesLindstrom, Clara BarnesSheridan Press, Monday, December 11, 1989 Clara B. Lindstrom Clara Barnes Lindstrom, 70, Sheridan, died Saturday at Sheridan Memorial Hospital. Born December 17, 1918, in Windsor, Colo., to Fred and Myrtle Law Barnes, she married Walter C. Lindstrom on Aug. 29, 1941, in Sheridan and lived here the rest of her life. Mrs. Lindstrom worked for 11 years as a bookkeeper at Green Heating Orr Plumbing. She enjoyed refinishing furniture, fishing, crochet, and helping others. A brother, Harold Barnes, preceded her in death. Survivors include her husband; three sons, Lonnie C. Lindstrom, Sparks, Nev., and Jonnie K. and Donnie G. Lindstrom, both of Sheridan; five brothers, William Barnes, San Diego, George Barnes, Salt Lake City, and Tom, Cecil, and Les Barnes, all of Casper; and seven grandchildren. Private family services are 1 p.m. Thursday at Champion Funeral Home, the Rev. Ted Tromble officiating, with cremation to follow. Memorials may benefit Whedon Cancer Foundation or Denver Children's hospital in care of Mary Lee Corley, First Interstate Bank of Commerce, Box 2007, Sheridan. Lindstrom, Walter CarlSheridan Press, Monday, February 24, 1997 Walter Lindstrom Walter Carl Lindstrom, 76, died Feb. 21, at Memorial Hospital of Sheridan County. He was born July 21, 1920, in Sheridan to Walter C. and Irene M. (Mills) Lindstrom. He married Clara Barnes on Aug. 31, 1941, in Sheridan. She preceded him in death in 1989. He was a graduate of Sheridan High School, and joined the Navy during World War II. He was honorably discharged in 1945. He returned to Sheridan and worked at Green Heating "Orr" Plimbing, then purchased the business in 1974, which he owned and operated until 1990. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, watching wildlife and rodeos. He was a member of the Plumber's and Pipe Fitter's Union 199 in Sheridan. He was also preceded in death by a sister, Lucille Cornwell. He is survived by three sons, Donnie Lindstrom of Sheridan, Lonnie Lindstrom of Sparks, Nev., and Jonnie Lindstrom of Gillette; a brother, Byron Lindstrom; a sister, Irene "Babe" Harzke; seven grandchildren; and one great-grandchild. Services will be 2 p.m. Tuesday at Champion Funeral Home, with Terry Roelfsema officiating. Burial will be in Sheridan Municipal Cemetery. Memorials may benefit the High School Rodeo Association, in care of Delphine Toner at the First Interstate Bank of Commerce, Box 2007, Sheridan. |
