Lee, Della Inez McClain

Longtime Big Horn resident Della Inez Lee, 82, died Tuesday at St. Vincent's Hospital in Billings, Mont., of natural causes. Services are 2 p.m. Friday at Champion Funeral Home, the Rev. Ted Tromble officiating. Lee was born Nov. 18, 1908, at Bozeman, Mont., to Joseph Asher and Fay Inez Hall McClain. She married Marion Harland Lee in Yuma, Ariz., on July 22, 1933. He preceded her in death on July 9, 1988. She worked for the Civil Service for many years. She enjoyed raising exotic birds and pets, enjoyed feeding the wild birds in Big Horn, liked to read, and was active in the Big Horn Audubon Society, the Big Horn Woman's Club, and the Red Grade Homemakers Club.

Also preceding her in death were one brother and one sister. Survivors include one son, Charles J. Lee, Sheridan; one daughter, Kathleen I. Lee, Noel, Mo.; one brother, H. Hall McClain, Paso Robles, Calif.; two sisters, Mildred K. McClain and Josephine M. Boyle, both of Billings; two granddaughters, a great granddaughter, eight step grandchildren and 10 step-great-grandchildren.

Services will be 2 p.m. Friday at Champion Funeral Home with the Rev. Ted Tromble officiating. Burial will follow in the Mount Hope Cemetery in Big Horn. Memorials may be made to the Big Horn Women's Club or the Sheridan Dog and Cat Shelter, in care of Mary Lee Corley, First Interstate Bank, Sheridan.

Lee, Marion Harland

Marion Harland Lee, 90, Big Horn, died Saturday at Sheridan County Memorial Hospital.

Born March 28, 1898, on an Oklahoma ranch to Charles Henry and Della Traver Lee, he married Della Inez McClain on July 22, 1933, in Yuma, Ariz. Mr. Lee worked as a mechanic in Los Angeles, retiring in 1965. A life member of International Machinists union, he enjoyed animals, woodworking, and snowmobiling.

Two sisters and a brother preceded him in death. Survivors include his wife; four children, Charles J. Lee, Sheridan, Kathleen Lee, Noel, Mo., Virginia Johnson, San Leandro, Calif., and Harland Lee Jr., Portland, Ore.; a sister, Mildred Fowles, Littlerock, Calif.; seven grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.

Services are 11 a.m. Thursday at Champion Funeral Home, the Rev. Ted Tromble officiating, with burial in Mount Hope Cemetery, Big Horn. Memorials may benefit Sheridan Animal Shelter, 325 Fort Road.
