Amy N. Cook, 75,Of Sheridan Dies

Mrs. Amy N. Cook, 75, a Sheridan resident more than 55 years, died Saturday at the Bushmaker nursing home.She was born July 10, 1881, in Hibbe, Minn., and was married to Samuel J. D. Cook in Sheridan on Dec. 29, 1900.

Her husban preceded her in death in 1939, and one daughter, Mrs. Eva Dewey, died in 1952. Mrs. Cook was a member of the First Christian church. She is survived by three daughters, Mrs. Edna Swaim, Independence, Ore.; Mrs. Mildred Clark, Livingston, Mont., and Mrs. Myrtle Reed, Shoshoni; one brother in Alberta, Canada, another in Minneapolis, and one sister also residing there.

She is also survived by 13 grandchildren and two great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be conducted Wednesday, 2 p.m. from Champion's funeral home with the Rev. Harry Chaping officiating. Burial will be in the Sheridan municipal cemetery.

SERVICES TUESDAY FOR SAM J.D. COOK
Sam J. D. Cook, 69, of 523 Water street a resident of Sheridan for 39 years died Saturday evening at his home.

Mr. Cook was born May 5, 1869, in Wisconsin, and came to the community in 1900. He was a member of the Christian church.

He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Amy Cook; four daughters, Mrs. Ancel Swain of Burris, Wyo., Mrs. C.E. Dewey of Laramie, Mrs. Glen Clark of Missoula, Mont., and Miss Myrtle Cook of Sheridan; one sister, Mrs. Elizabeth Nelson of Sheridan, and six grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held at 2 o'clock Tuesday afternoon from the Champion Drawing room. The Rev. Bell will officiate.
