Kleber Hadsell
Biography
This cabin was used by Kleber
Hadsell in his sheep operations. They summed
their sheep in the Green Mountain area.
Kleber was an old time Rawlins resident. His
picture appears in numerous places in the
100 year centennial book about Rawlins. He
was the father of Ada Maxon who was married
to Frank who ran the Livestock Feed and
Supply operation for a number of years.
Kleber sold out to Jim Chapman who was Pat,
Leo and Cathy’s father.
Kleber
Hadsell had a mechanical sheep built that
was used at the Carbon County Fair. I think
it may have been associated with the Wool
Growers Association. It had real wool on it
and would turn its head back and forth as it
puffed on a lit cigarette. It was a popular
display. Kleber’s son, Dr. Frank Hadsell,
was a Geophysicist at the Colorado School of
Mines.

Being
a County or State Administrator is fun and rewarding. If you
have an interest in the history of Wyoming and the genealogy
of it's residents please consider it. If you think "there
is no way I can do this" there are many people ready,
willing and able to help you. It's not near as difficult as
you might think.
