Manitowoc Pilot, Thursday, September 13, 1888

A young man named Jacobs was accidentally shot in Sheboygan county last week while hunting rabbits. A man Scheuer had entered a wood from a direction opposite to that taken by Jacobs. He started a partridge and fired at it with a rifle; the bullet struck Jacobs, killing him instantly, Scheuer did not know hed had killed his friend until the body was found the following day, when he explained all. He at one time lived in this city and worked in the shipyard. He is a nephew of Peter Rau of Two Rivers.


Manitowoc Pilot, Thursday, September 18, 1884

Ed. F. Zinns of Sheboygan who is now engaged in manufacturing the Giblin self acting fire extinguisher, will be present at the county fair in this county and give an exhibition of the apparatus.
