This Marriage was Donated
Chilton Times February 9, 1895

The marriage of Miss Abalona Maurer, of Elkhart Lake, to Mr. Frank Hahnemann, of the town of Stockbridge, was solemnized last Thursday afternoon at the Ebenzer Reformed Church. The pastor Rev. W. A. Arpke performed the ceremony after a short address his text begin 1 Samuel XV, 23 and as touching the matter which thou and I have spoken of, behold the Lord he between thee and me for ever. A large congregation of friends were present. The maid of honor was Miss Lillian Meyer and Miss Mary Buchman acted as bridesmaid. Chas. Hahnemann was best man and Will Buchman groomsman. The Gen'l Persifor F. smith's March was played by Mrs. Mary Jenss as the wedding procession entered and the Russian March at the close of the ceremony. The choir sang three appropriate songs. The bride wore a dove colored dress and a boquet of lily of the valley in her hair. Miss Lillian Meyer and Miss Mary Buchman wore old rose colored dresses and boquets of lily of the valley in their hair. The wedding repast that followed was served at the home of the young couple near Kloten.
