Crocker, Bliss & Co. Fire

Last Friday evening the heavens were illuminated south of here
by what appeared to be an extensive conflagration, which
proved to be the case, for on that evening the chair
factory of Crocker, Bliss, & Co., Sheboygan, together with
three dwelling houses were totally destroyed by fire. The
fire originated in the dry house we believe. Loss about
$50,000.

The manufacturing establishment of Crocker, Bliss & Co. was destroyed by fire recently. Loss $30,000, with but $4,000 insurance. This is a severe loss to Sheboygan, as it was one of the most prominent establishments in the northern part of the state.
