William M. Winter

William M. Winter, superintendent for the M. Winter Lumber Company, was born in Milwaukee, October 13, 1851. He was but two years of age when his parents removed to Sheboygan County. Having attended the public schools until fifteen years of age, he began to assist his father in the lumber business, with which he has since been continuously identified. Since January, 1890, he has filled his present position.

Mr. Winter was married in Sheboygan, July 18, 1874, to Miss Minnie, daughter of Christian Raab, deceased. Mrs. Winter is a native of the Chair City. Five children, Erwin W., Alfred O., Franklin L., Lydia and Hilda, were born to Mr. and Mrs. Winter. Politically, the subject of this sketch is a Republican. He also belongs to the Lutheran Church, and to the National Union.
