David Manville

David Manville (deceased) a pioneer of Sheboygan of 1850, was born in Connecticut, August 15, 1810, and was a son of David Manville.

The subject of this sketch removed to Jefferson County, N. Y., in his youth, and there married Miss Clarinda Dickinson. They removed to Watertown, N. Y., and from there to Sheboygan in 1850. Mr. Manville was engaged in the boot and shoe business in this city for several years. In politics, he was a Democrat, and for several years held the offices of Justice of the Peace and Municipal Judge. His death occurred on the 22d of February, 1893.

Mr. and Mrs. Manville had but one child, Fayette W., who married Miss Elizabeth Ashby, and is a resident of Sheboygan. However, they reared an adopted daughter, Hattie A., who is the wife of Maj. Nathan Cole, of Sheboygan. Mrs. Manville survives her husband, and is still a resident of Sheboygan.
