Albert F. Freyberg, of the firm of C. B. Freyberg & Bros., was born near Stettin, Pomerania, Germany, August 28, 1848. For a complete sketch of the family, see history of C. B. Freyberg. Our subject was but four years of age when he came to this county. His education was received in the district schools and in Sheboygan Business College. With his father and brothers, he has been engaged in various kinds of business, such as running a sawmill, gristmill, and blacksmith shop. The Freyberg brothers do an extensive lumber business, the subject of this sketch looking after the retail trade at Sheboygan, while his brother, C. B. Freyberg, does the purchasing.

Mr. Freyberg was married in the Evergreen City, in 1874, to Miss Fredericka Groh. Mrs. Freyberg is a native of Sheboygan, and is a sister of G. M. Groh, the photographer. Five children have been born to this worthy couple: Albert, Nora, Elsie, Laura and Charles.

Mr. Freyberg is serving his second term as Alderman from the Second Ward. He is a Republican in politics and is an important factor in the local affairs of his party. The only social order to which he belongs is the Druids. Besides his lumber interests, Mr. Freyberg is identified with the Sheboygan Novelty Company, holding the position of Secretary.
