Edward Roehrborn is one of the successful and up-to-date farmers of Sheboygan county. He was born in Wilson township, this county, April 6, 1866, and is a son of Charles and Barbara Roehrborn, the former a native of Germany. The father, in company with his parents, emigrated to this country at a very early day. On reaching America the family located on a farm of eighty acres in Wilson township and later purchased a farm in that township of one hundred and sixty acres. To Mr. and Mrs. Charles Roehrborn ten children were born, seven of whom still survive: Bertha, who became the wife of Henry Pfeifer and has two children; Gustave, who survives his wife and with his six children lives on the old homestead in Wilson township; Edward, the subject of this review; Minnie, at home; Lucy, who is the wife of Charles Reinhart, of Chicago, and has two children; Amelia, living in Wilson township, who married Otto Timming, now deceased, and has five children; and Charles, who by his marriage has three children and now makes his home with his father in Wilson township.

Edward Roehrborn was educated in the common schools and remained under the parental roof engaged in farming until he was thirty-three years of age. He then moved to the city of Sheboygan, where he became a laborer in the brickyard and continued in that occupation for seven consecutive years, after which he removed to South Dakota and in that state remained for some time. He then returned to Sheboygan county, where he purchased a farm of one hundred and seven and a half acres located in Sheboygan township on section 33.

On the 5th of January, 1895, Mr. Roehrborn was united in marriage to Miss Leona Bollmann. She is a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Christian Bollmann, both of whom are natives of Germany. To Mr. and Mrs. Roehrborn five children have been born. Mr. Roehrborn is numbered among the highly successful farmers in the county of Sheboygan. His beautiful farm of one hundred and seven and a half acres located two miles southwest of the city of Sheboygan is one of the highly developed and scientifically conducted farms in northeastern Wisconsin. The commodious buildings and farm machinery equipment with which this property is improved place it well to the front of the most perfect agricultural establ ishments to be found anywhere throughout the middle west. Here Mr. Roehrborn is engaged in the breeding and raising of pure-blooded, high-grade stock and beef cattle. He is widely known throughout the county and is regarded as a man of the highest integrity, ready under all circumstances to give his influence and assistance to any measure of public interest affecting the welfare of the people in the community in which he lives.
