Frank Boehm, of Sheboygan, was born in Saxe-Altenberg, Prussia, Germany, June 17, 1849, and is a son of Dreaugott and Rosine Boehm {see mention of parents in sketch of brother, Charles Broehm}. He came to America with his parents in 1852, at the age of three years, and was reared on his father's farm in the town of Wilson, Sheboygan County, Wis., until 1864, when the family moved to the city of Sheboygan. He received a common school education, and learned the trade of carpenter and joiner. For eighteen years he was engaged in contracting and building, and for many years was associated with his brother Charles in contracting in ice. He retired from the latter business in 1891, and has been dealing in wines and liquors since.

Mr. Boehm was married in the Chair City, December 17, 1870, to Miss Fredericka Kramma. Seven children were born to Mr. and Mrs. Boehm, two sons and five daughters: Emma, Louis, Minnie, Frank, Meta, Alma and Hittie {sic}, all of whom are natives of Sheboygan.

Mr. Boehm is a Republican in politics, and has served four years as Alderman in the Sheboygan City Council, from 1872 to 1876, inclusive. Socially, he is a member of the order of Harugari, Lodge No. 517.
