Paul Theodore Krez, attorney-at-law and member of the Board of Public Works of Sheboygan, was born in that city, August
20, 1860, being a son of Gen. Conrad and Adolphine {Stemmler} Krez. He attended the public schools of his native city and
the Wisconsin State University, graduating from the law departmentof the latter in the Class of '80. On being admitted to
the Bar he established himself in practice at Sheboygan.
In 1883 he was elected City Attorney, and in 1891 was chosen a member of the Board of Public Works, of which he is
Secretary. In addition to his extensive law practice, Mr. Krez is largely interested in real-estate business. He was one
of the chief promoters of the plan and organization of the South Side Land Company of Sheboygan, of which he was
Treasurer.
Mr. Krez was married in Kenosha, Wis., on the 21st of October, 1886, to Miss Minnie Schroeder. Mrs. Krez was born in
Kenosha, and is a daughter of August Schroeder.
Mr. Krez has now been in active practice of his profession at Sheboygan for thirteen years, and has won a foremost place
in the Sheboygan County Bar. For four years he served as Deputy United States Collector for the port of Sheboygan. He is
a Royal Arch Mason, belonging to Lodge No. 11, A. F. & A. M., and to Harmony Chapter No. 10, R. A. M. He is also a member
of Oak Council No. 509, R. A.
His father, Gen. Conrad Krez, was an early settler of Sheboygan County, of whom see sketch elsewhere in this work.
