Edward Felter, M. D.

Edward Felter, M. D., of Plymouth, successor to Dr. Fitzgibbons, is a graduate of Rush Medical College, of Chicago, in the Class of '90, and of the College of Pharmacy, being a member of the Class of '87. Dr. Felter was born in Milwaukee, Wis., November 18, 1864, being a son of Jacob and Catherine Felter. His parents are of German origin, the father having been born in Wittenberg, and the mother in Baden. They came to the United States when young, and were married in Milwaukee. In 1868 they removed to Fond du Lac, where they still reside.

Dr. Felter received his literary education in the schools of Fond du Lac, having graduated from the High School with the Class of '85. Prior to entering the medical college, he pursued a course of study under the direction of Dr. Wiley, of the above-named city. Having completed his college course, he has since been actively engaged in the practice of his profession.

In Plymouth, on the 12th of October, 1892, was celebrated the marriage of Dr. Felter and Miss Emma Schlichting. The lady is a native of Plymouth, and a daughter of Mrs. Theresa S. Schlichting. Mrs. Felter's father is deceased.

Dr. Felter is a member of Hiawatha Council No. 520, R. A., and of the Knights of the Maccabees. On the 1st of January, 1893, he succeeded to the practice of Fitzgibbons Bros. in Plymouth, though he had practiced in this city since 1891. He is a young man of good natural ability, and by thorough preparation has laid the foundation for a successful future. His practice has been very satisfactory, and is rapidly increasing.
