Mr. and Mrs. Frederich Fritsch Celebrate Golden Wedding Event
Mr. and Mrs. Frederich Fritsch, living on a farm six miles south of Sheboygan in Town Wilson were given a surprise Saturday when all their sons and daughters together with the grandchildren appeared at the farm home to celebrate the advent of the aged couple's fiftieth wedding anniversary. The occasion was one long to be remembered by the family.
Mrs. Fritsch, his wife, was also born in Germany in 1852, near the place where her husband first saw the light of day. She also came to this country with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Gartmann who settled in Town Wilson.
Immediately after their marriage, the couple took charge of the farm where they now reside and which they continued to supervise until a few years ago, when the farm was turned over to their son, Fred.
Five children were the result of this union, three daughters, Mrs. Fred Gartmann, Hingham; Mrs. August Klewe, 514 New York avenue, this city and Mrs. Dietloff Noth (sic, Nath), Town Wilson, and two sons, Alfred, who conducts a farm in Town Wilson and Fred who is now on the farm homestead. In addition to the sons and daughters, nine grandchildren were present at the celebration.
Both Mr. and Mrs. Fritsch enjoy unusually good health, considering their advanced ages, and from all present indications will live to enjoy many additional years of happy life.
