Mr. and Mrs. Val. Gartman were pleasantly surprised by a company of relatives and friends on Saturday evening at their home in the town of Wilson, the occasion being their twentieth wedding anniversary. Cards were played and dancing was enjoyed during the course of the evening. At 11:30 o'clock a dainty luncheon was served to the following guests: Mr. and Mrs. Rudolph Thielman, Mr. and Mrs. John Gartman, Mr. and Mrs. August Thielman, Mr. and Mrs. Fred Neese, Mr. and Mrs. Ferdinand Bahr, Mr. and Mrs. Louis Zimmerman, Mr. and Mrs. H. Drews, Mr. and Mrs. Walter Steffen, Mr. and Mrs. August Lieding, Mr. and Mrs. Carl Behnke, Mr. and Mrs. F. De Sombre, Mr. and Mrs. August Neuman, Mr. and Mrs. H. Mueller, Mr. and Mrs. Adolph Miller, Mr. and Mrs. Adolph Hessler, Mr. and Mrs. Fred Krueger, Misses Dora Behr, Anita Thielman, Leonora Gartman, Elsie Neese, Caroline Thielman, Edna Gartman, Stella Miller, Mary Drews, Welmetta AmEnd, Meta Drews and Sophie Witter, and Messrs. Oscar Bahr, Herbert Gartman, Arno Zimmerman, Arno Drews, Clarence Thielman, Marvin Hessler, Lester Thielman, August De Sombre, Edwin Senglaub, Milton Thielman, Otto Thielman, August Thielman, Sr. and Harry Witter. All present had a most enjoyable time.
