6 Men On Logs.
The relative size of these northern Wisconsin trees can be understood when compared to the size of the full grown men standing on them. After cutting, came the trimming off of all the branches, which were then cut to use and sell as firewood.

Ice Shoot down to the Oconto River bank 
in Spring thaw.
In the Scandinavian countries, woodsmen occasionally rode logs down these ice covered shoots for entertainment, thus giving birth to the 
Bobsled and Luge.

Winter weary camp crew including cook and assistant cook. From Joe Holl (son of Peter and Elizabeth Prinz Holl ) to step mother Minnie Guelker Holl. Minnie and Elizabeth were first cousins. Elizabeth died of TB in 1890's.
