Mr. and Mrs. Douglas Turini are spending their wedding trip in Miami Beach, Fla., following their recent marriage.  The bride, the former Donna Murphy, is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Henry Murphy of Oconto Falls.  They will make their home in Marquette, Mich.

      A Chapel length gown of rose point lace and net over satin was worn by  Miss Laura Whitcomb, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Crosby Whitcomb of Sobieske  when she became the bride of Charles  M. Violette, son of Mr. and Mrs. A. J.  Violette, Saco, Maine.  The couple repeated their vows before the Reverend  Thadeus Koszarek in the St. John Cantius church at Sobieski, Saturday morning  at 9 o'clock.  The church alter was decorated with seasonal flowers for the  occasion.
 
The brides gown was fashioned with a Peter Pan collar and long  sleeves.  Her fingertip veil of French illusion fell from the Juliet cap of  rose point lace trimmed with pearls.  White French Carnation and a white  orchid were in here crescent bouquet.  She was given in marriage by her  Uncle, Russel Whitcomb, Wauwatosa, in the absence of her father who has been a patient in St. Vincent and the Oconto Hospitals for more than three months.
 
The double ring ceremony was used.

Miss Sally Whitcomb of Milwaukee served as her sister's maid of honor,  while Miss Beverly Bartels served as brides maid.  They wore ballerina  length gowns of dusty nylon net with velveteen bodices and matching headbands  and  carried pink muffs with baby blue mums.
 
During the ceremony, John Whitcomb of Milwaukee sang, "Ave Maria" and  "On This Day".  He was accompanied by Mrs. Ray Truskowski at the organ.
 
John Violette of Saco, Maine served as his brother's best man.  His  other attendant was Charles Giliberti.  Ushers were James Blazer and Earl  Renquin.
 
A wedding breakfast and reception were held in the church parlors;  after which the couple left for a honeymoon in Maine and other eastern states.
 
The bride was a graduate of Oconto Falls high school and is employed  by Maryland Casualty Company in Milwaukee.  Her husband was graduated from  Old Orchard Beach high school.  He attended the Milwaukee School of  Engineering and is engaged in construction work.  They will make their home  in Milwaukee after December 10.

Wedding guests came from Milwaukee, Oconto, Minneapolis, Oconto Falls,  and Green Bay.

N.L. Thielke of Oconto Falls observed his 92nd birthday on Sunday.

Word has been received of the death of Rev. Victor Nearhoff, formerly pastor of the Oconto Falls Methodist Church.
