CELEBRATE 50TH ANNIVERSARY
Mr. and Mrs. John Maloney
Parents of 13 children,
including two pairs of twins,
Mr. and Mrs.
John Maloney, who were married
50 years ago today,
are still very active and able
to celebrate the jubilee.
The celebration will take
place Sunday, consisting
of a family dinner in the
Beaumont hotel at noon,
followed by an afternoon
with children and grandchildren
at their home, 903 N. Broadway.
John Maloney and Mary
Tracy were married Oct. 4, 1885 in St.
Joseph’s church , Oconto,
and moved to Green Bay a few months
later, living on the
West side ever since. Mrs. Maloney was
born in Ottawa, Canada,
67 years ago and Mr. Maloney is a
native of Binghamton,
N.Y., where he was born 60 years ago.
He has been employed
by the Northwestern railroad for 56
years, making him the
oldest employee in years of service
still being active
duty. He is a section foreman.
Of the 13 children born
to the couple, all were living until
last spring, Edward,
the oldest, having passed away on March
4. The remaining
children are: Arthur and Howard, Green Bay,
Henry, Sheboygan, Mrs.
Evelyn Manley, Mrs. Alphonse Mahoney,
Mrs. Patrick Murphy,
John and Paul, all of Green Bay, Esther,
Earl, Joseph, and Josephine,
at home. There are 19
grandchildren of whom
the youngest is “Paddy” Murphy, ten day
old son of Mr. and
Mrs. Patrick Murphy.
