Sept 1, 1910 researched and contributed by Richard La Brosse Mr. and Mrs. Joseph VanHulle left last Thursday for Portland, Ore., where they will make their future home. On their way, they will stop at Wolf Creek, Mont., to visit Mrs. VanHulles brother, Early Barry. Lena—A son of Mr. and Mrs. Fred Paulu fractured his shoulder recently. Dr. Dougherty reduced the fracture and the boy is doing nicely. In the 2:19 pace of Manitowoc last Wednesday, Baldwins
horse Prince Charming, won the race in straight heats.

Sept 15, 1910 researched and contributed by Richard La Brosse Miss Julia Walsh captures the $400 piano in the Reporter's big voting contest and also won the diamond ring offered as a special prize by the Reporter. Second went to Pearl Shufelt, third Frances Orr, and fourth Ida Desjarlais. William Steuer of Shohola, Pa. Is home for a visit with his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Chas. Steuer. Mrs. Charles Mehlberg returned home Saturday from a
two month visit to her old home in Germany.

July 21, 1910 For more than an hour Tuesday forenoon, it was feared that a good portion of the village of Lena would be destroyed by fire and the city of Green Bay was appealed to for assistance in the shape of a fire engine and hose and Oconto to be in readiness if needed. Frank DonLevy, Jr., has returned home from Sturgis, S.D. after a years absence and has accepted a position as mail clerk for the CNW railroad. Lena—A moving picture show is being planned for Lena
with Edward Boucher as proprietor. A good show of the kind ought
to prove a paying investment.

December 15, 1910 Kelley Brook—A crowd of young folks gathered at the
home of Mr. and Mrs. George Piper in honor of their son, Will, and his
bride.
Mrs. L.M. Young delightfully entertained about thirty-five
ladies at her home on Main Street last Saturday afternoon and evening at
a five o’clock tea and cards, the guest of honor being her sister, Mrs.
Elizabeth Seymour, of Tomah.

December 22, 1910 Ralph Williams, who had been employed at Clarksburg,
West Virginia, as a teacher in stenography, resigned his position and returned
to his home here last Thursday.

December 29, 1910 researched and contributed by Richard La Brosse Father F.X. Hazen, son of Frank Hazen of the south ward, a graduate of St. Viateur’s college of Bourbonnais, Ill., and Father Joseph Millay, a graduate of St. Norbert’s college, DePere, were ordained to the priesthood by Bishop Fox at St. Peter’s church at nine Tuesday morning with the usual impressive ceremony. Howard E. Lucia of the Lucia Bros. Motor Car company, Green Bay, and Miss Helen A. McDonald of Oconto were married in Lansing, Mich., on Wednesday. The fire department was called out Tuesday morning at about eight to extinguish a fire in the Oconto Creamery Companys plant. The fire started in the office and spread rapidly to the adjoining rooms, the office being completely destroyed. Walter Keith will return to his school duties in Boston,
Mass., tomorrow after spending his vacation with his parents in Oconto.
