Memoirs of Charles de Langlade - Volume 7

The Langlade Family, at first known by the name Mouet de Moras, came
originally from Castle Sarrasin in Bassee, Guyenne, France. Pierre Mouet,
Landlord of Moras, ensign in a company in a regiment of the Carignan, settled
in Trois Riveres, PQ, Canada in 1668.
His children were (7 sons and 2 daughters):

Pierre Mouet and Elizabeth Jutras had the following children:

August Mouet, Sieur de Langlade, married Domitilde (AKA Theresa), widow of Daniel Villeneuve and sister of a Chief of the Ottawa, King Nissowaquet. Child of Domitilde and Daniel was Daniel, born September 1712 Children of Domitilde and Augustin were believed to be:
Agathe, born 1722; married M. Soulignay/Souligny (AKA M. Caron) who
was considered very cruel, and who was a Menominee Chief;
2nd marriage to Amable Grigon No children were born of either marriage.
Constant Stanislas Anne, born April 18, 1735; married Antoine Guyori; married B. Blondeau
Marie Louise Theresa, born October 2, 1736; married Claude Germain Gautier de Verville They had a son, Charles Gautier de Verville (AKA de Langlade)
Jean Baptiste Charles Michel de Langlade, born May 1729 in an Ottawa Village near Mackinaw; baptised May 7, 1729
Charles Gautier de Verville married Magdaleine Chevalier on January
1, 1779
Known children were:
Domitille, generally called Madeleine; married Michael Brisbois,
Jr.

Charles Gautier de Verville also had had at least five children by
Indian Woman who were servants to his uncle, Charles Michel de Langlade:
three by a Menominee Indian Woman,
two by either an Osage or a Pawnee Indian Woman.
