South
Chase School began
in a log cabin owned by Erma Matusek. This wood frame
building replaced it when it was decided that the student population on
the eastern side of town of Chase had reached the level when three
schools were needed, North, Central and South Chase Schools along
County Road C. At the time of this photograph, South Chase School was
covered
with a painted pressed tin siding that resembled cut stone, unique to
Oconto
County Schools.
