Woodrow "Woody" Noack

Mr. Woodrow "Woody" Noack, 86, Oconto, died Wednesday, July 4, 2001 at home. He was born on April 14, 1915 in Oconto to the late Frank and Nellie (Bloomer) Noack. On February 14, 1942 Woody married the former Norene Speller at St. Peter's Catholic Church, Oconto. She preceded him in death on October 9, 1996. He served in the United States Army during WWII. The couple farmed in the townships of Oconto and Little River all of their married lives until their retirement. He was a member of Holy Trinity Catholic Parish, Oconto. Woody had a love for gardening and farming.

Survivors include four children Nancy (Wayne) Earley, Lena; Wayne Noack, Peshtigo; Roy (Sandy) Noack, Oconto; and Dick Noack, Oconto; 11 grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; one brother, Milo Noack, Suamico; three sisters Lucille (Merlin) Volk, Abrams; Gloriana Monette, Peshtigo; Joyce Rouer, Lena; and one sister-in-law, Betty Speller, Oconto.

He was preceded in death by five brothers Roland, Floyd, Ralph, Orville, and Franklin; three sisters Goldie Lang, Pearl Basten, and Phyllis Strom.

Friends called at the Rhodes-Charapata Funeral Home, 121 Chicago St., Oconto. Mass of Christian Burial was conducted 1:30 p.m. Saturday at Holy Trinity Catholic Church at the corners of Park and Madison St. with Father David C. Ruby officiating. Burial at the Oconto Catholic Cemetery.
