OCONTO FALLS – William “Bill” J. Warner, 65, died Friday evening, Mar. 23, 2001, at home following a short illness with pancreatic cancer. He was born July 22, 1935, in Caroline, Wisc. He grew up in Illinois and as a young man moved to Antigo.

On Oct. 29, 1955, he married Marion Meyer at St. John’s Lutheran Church in Morgan. The couple lived most of their married life in the Town of Spruce. Bill was a 35 year member of Local 139 of Operating Engineers and had worked for several different companies on projects around the state of Wisconsin. He also owned and operated Bill’s Custom Lumber and enjoyed his sawmill, woodworking and his special dog, Cooter. He was an avid deer hunter, ice fisherman, 4 wheeler enthusiast, bull dozer operator and grandpa who dearly loved his grandchildren.

Survivors are his wife of 45 years, Marian; their children, daughter, Danni and husband Mike VanHaren, their children, Adam and Teri; daughter, Sue and husband Gary VanRoy, children, David and Alica Renel; daughter, Cindy and husband Don Falash, and son Josh St. Louis; son, Bill and wife Mary Warner, and daughter, Molly; son Robert “Bobby” and wife Jamie Warner, and daughters, Amber and Nicole; daughter, Becky Warner and son, Justin; one great-grand-daughter, Anela Renel; a great-grandchild soon to arrive; stepfather, Leonard Dabler; three brothers, five sisters, one aunt and one uncle also survive.

He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother. Friends may call at Our Redeemer’s Lutheran Church, Cty. Tk. M, Town of Maple Valley, after 9 a.m. Wednesday until the time of the services. Memorial services with the urn present will be held 11:30 a.m. Wednesday at the church with the Rev. Carol Christianson officiating. Jones Funeral Service, Oconto Falls, is serving the Warner family.

In lieu of other expressions of sympathy, a memorial fund will be established. A special thanks to Unity Hospice and dear friend Laurie, for their care and concern during this time.
