Bill was born August 3, 1932 in Oconto to the late Frederick and Iris (Stephenson) Rugg. He married Loraine Gillis on September 7, 1985. Bill served in the US Navy for four years. He worked in Milwaukee for Falk Engineering and then worked for Mid-Central Tool, Oconto Falls as a machinist. He then worked as a logger for Richard Ledvina until he retired. Bill loved camping, hunting, and fishing.
Bill is survivied by his wife, Lorraine; three daughters, Louise (John) Gesquire, Dunbar; Debbie and Jessica Rugg, both of Wausaukee; two sons, Frederick (Leslie) Rugg, Wausaukee; Jesse (Barb) Rugg, Athelstane; three step-daughters, Victoria (Bruce) Mertens, Green Bay; Cynthia (Ptet) Stengl, Green Bay; Lori (Timothy) Margis, Beaver; two stepsons, Steven (Kathy) Verboomen, Appleton; Michael Verboomen, Green Bay; one sister, Sue (Dudley) Ragen, Oconto; and seven grandchildren. Bill was preceded in death by one brother, Ricky Rugg.
Mass of Christian burial was celebrated 11 am Thursday, at Holy Trinity Parish, St Peter Site with the Rev. David C Ruby officiating and burial at Evergreen Cemetery. Military rites by Jones-Modrow-Young post # 74 of the American Lagion. Gallagher Funeral Home, Oconto.
