FUNERAL SERVICES FOR MRS. WM. MEIER HELD 
OCONTO FALLS, Wis. Funeral services for Mrs. William Meier who died
at the local hospital Saturday morning following a hemorrhage were held
this afternoon at 1 o’clock from the residence of her mother, Mrs. John
Ritter, town of Stiles, and at 2 o’clock at St. Jacobs Lutheran church
of this city, the Rev. V. Ramph, Gillett officiating. Burial was in the
cemetery here. Mrs. Meier, nee Wanda Ritter, was born here in May,
1908, and was married to William Meier, Stiles three years ago where she
resided until her death. She attended the public schools of this city.
Survivors are her husband, two children, Theodore John, age 2 ˝ years
and a daughter three days old, also her mother and five brothers and one
sister. John, Adolph, Albert, Julius and Otto at home and Mrs. Andrew
Dinse, Morgan. Pallbearers were Ernest Meier, Henry Marks, Henry Tisch,
Emil and Art Weisner and August Kamke.

MRS. WM. MEIER LAID TO REST TUESDAY P. M
This city and surrounding community were stricken with sorrow to learn
early Saturday of the death of Mrs. William Meier, of Stiles at the
Oconto Falls hospital. Her untimely demise was caused by hemorrhages,
following the birth of a daughter.
Mrs. Meier was born Wanda Ritter, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. John
Ritter of the Town of Stiles, on April 2nd, 1908. She was educated in
the public schools of this community. On the 19th of October, 1929 the
Rev. Lorenz Schultheiss performed the ceremony in St. Jacob’s Lutheran
church which united her in marriage to William Meier, florist, of
stiles. Besides her husband she is survived by a 17 month old son,
Teddy, and an infant daughter. Her mother, Mrs. John Ritter and a
sister, Mrs. Andrew Dinse of Morgan, and five brothers, John,
Adolph, Julies, Albert and Otto also mourn the loss of a daughter and
sister. Her father died after being struck by an auto in November,
1930.
