William J. Zutter, 78, of Madison, WI, died on Thursday, October 26, 2000, at his home, 5062 Marathon Drive, Madison, WI.
William was born in Oconto, Wisconsin, on July 6, 1922, the son of August and Matilda (Topel) Zutter. He married Beatrice Rosenfeldt on March 30, 1946. After serving in the Air Force as a pilot and flight instructor during World War II, he attended UW-Madison, graduating in 1950. Following this, he established his own engineering consulting firm in the Madison area.
He is survived by his wife, Beatrice of Madison; his four children, Barbara (Morris) Schoenberg of Naperville, IL, Keith (Margaret) Zutter of Madison, Rebecca Zutter-Brose (William Brose) of Verona, and Daniel Zutter of St. Paul, MN; seven grandchildren; a brother, Donald (Caryol) Zutter of South Bend, IN, and a sister-in-law, Mrs. John (Olive) Zutter.
A memorial service was held for friends and family on Tuesday, October 31, at Midvale Community Lutheran Church, 4329 Tokay Blvd., Madison.
