The Rev. Fr. L. C. Becker conducted funeral services at 2 o'clock this afternoon from the Gallagher Funeral home. Burial was in the Oconto Evergreen cemetery.
The casket was carried by Chas. Davis, George Porter, Ed. Lemirande, Ed. Zimmerman, P.T. Meeuwsen and James Heraild.
William Classon was born April 20, 1865 in Manitowoc. At the age of six years he came to Oconto. He had practiced as a veterinary surgeon and had operated a tavern in the city for many years. Forty one years ago he married Nellie Dailey in Chicago, Ill.
Mr. Classon at one time served as supervisor of the seventh war of this city.
The grieved survivors are the widow; four sons, Ogden of Milwaukee, Claude and William of Chicago, Ill and James at home; one daughter, Miss Lorene, of Chicago; and two brother, Allan V. Classon, attorney, Green Bay, and Edmund of Oconto.
The people from out-of town attending the funeral included: Mr. and Mrs. William Classon, Mr. and Mrs. Claude Classon and Miss Lorene Classon, Mrs. Nellie Claery, Miss Birmingham and Dr. Kruszka all of Chicago, Ill; Mrs. and Mrs. Ogden Classon and daughter Carroll of Milwaukee; Mrs. James Flynn, and Ben Predith of Lakewood; Mr. and Mrs. A. V. Classon of Green Bay; Mr. and Mrs. Geo. Moody and Mr. and Mrs. George Classon of Weyauwega; Mr. and Mrs. John Thiede and Mr. and Mrs. Delbert Moody of Brookside; and Mr. and Mrs. Lloyd Glynn of Couillardville. 3h>
