Death Invaded
Home of Well Known Farmer Of the Town of Gillett;
Had Been Ailing for Past Six Years; Died July 1st

William Hunt, a highly respected farmer of the town of Gillett, passed way Monday afternoon, July 1st., at the family home five miles northwest of the village, death being due to apoplexy.

William Hunt was born in Polin, April 25, 1865. In 1887 he was united in marriage to Miss Marie Glier, who with an infant daughter passed away within a year. On May 2, 1889 , he was again united in marriage to Teophelia Krueger. Nine children blessed this union, three of whom preceded their father to the grave,Theophelia and Edward in Polin, and a son William in the town of Gillett in 1922. His widow and four sons and two daughters survive as follows: Gustav, Mrs. Edward Barke and Adolph of Gillett, Julius of Green Bay, August of Sheboygan and Mrs. Roy Wright of Quimby, Mich., One sister, Mrs. August Schultz of Advance and thirteen grandchildren also survive.

Mr. Hunt had been in ill health for about six years being afflited with shaking palsy. For the past six months he had been confined to his bed a great deal of the time and wished that the good Lord would end his suffering here and grant him his eternal rest.

Funeral services were held Wednesday afternoon from the Immanuel Lutheran church, Rev. E. A. Wians officiating, with interment in the church cemetery.

Among those from out-of-town who attended the services were, Mr. and Mrs. Roy Wright and family of Quinby, Mieh., Mr. and Mrs. August Hunt and Mr. and Mrs. Fred Reimer of Sheboygan, Mr. and Mrs. August Schultz daughter Emma of Advance and Mr. and Mrs. August Rickert and family of Lena.
