Funeral services for William H. Murphy, 68, who died at a Green Bay hospital Monday morning, 10 days after being admitted for surgery, will be held Thursday morning at the John Crooks Funeral home and at 9 am at St. Anthony Catholic church here. The Rev. Joseph Labno will conduct the last rites and burial will be in the Catholic cemetery.

Mr. Murphy was born in the town of Morgan September 14, 1885 on the farm which is now operated by his son, Howard. He was a resident of the Oconto Falls area all of his life and was active in civic affairs in the area. He served as Oconto county chairman of the PMA program and was also active in the county democratic organization. A contingent of Brown county democrats will attend the final rites of Mr. Murphy. He was a member of St. Anthony Catholic Church and an active member of its Holy Name Society.

He is survived by his wife, the former Gertrude Gravey; two daughters, Mrs. John Lutz, Oconto Falls, and Mrs. George Beno, Green Bay; two sons, Howard, Oconto Falls, and Eugene, at home; three brothers, John of Cincinnati, Ohio, and Thomas and Henry, Oconto Falls; one sister, Mrs. Leo Beis, Detroit, Mich., and six grandchildren.

The body is at the John Crooks Funeral home, where friends may call after 5 pm this afternoon. The parish Rosary will be recited at 8 pm Wednesday evening, followed by a 9 pm recitation by the Knights of Columbus.
