Walter Frederick Steinle died Monday July 12, 1999 at St. Peters Manor in St. Peters, MO. Walter was born August 9, 1913, in Appleton, MN, to Christian and Minnie (Guth) Steinle.

He married Eleanor Garries on October 22, 1940, in Chicago, IL. They lived in Oconto from 1980-1994. Survivors include sons Walter (Monica) Steinle and Alan (Sandi) Steinle; five grandchildren and their spouses; eight great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife and daughter Barbara (Hugh) McKeown.
