William Frederick Barcome

Another shock came to the residents of this community Monday when the tidings were spread that William Barcome had been taken by death. Mr. Barcome, who had been sawing wood, suddenly became ill and fifteen minutes later had left this world for the bourne from which no traveler returns. A heart attack was the cause of his death.

William Frederick Barcome was born in Kewaunee on January 11, 1871, the son of Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Barcome, and was 61 years of age. His marriage to Miss Agnes La Fave took place in the Stiles Catholic church where they resided for a time. They later moved to a farm in the town of Lena. They have been residents of this city for the past twenty-five years. For twenty years they have conducted a grocery store on North Main St.

Besides the widow, Mr. Barcome is survived by two sons, Alvin and Earl of Oconto Falls, and four daughters, Mabel, Mrs. John Klenz of Milwaukee; Nora, Mrs. Jos. C. Pavlik of this city; Beatrice, Mrs. Philip Young of New York City, and Mildred, Mrs. Chester VanDenelzen of Oconto Falls. Other survivors are eleven grandchildren two brothers, Walter of Hardwood, Michigan and Joseph of Breed; and three sisters, Mrs. Joseph Kaukman and Mrs. O. Royce of Appleton, Mrs. Thos. Pickens of Green Bay and Mrs. Albert Johnson of New Mexico.

Funeral services will be held on Friday morning at nine am at St. Anthony's Catholic church, the Rev. P.J. Grosnick officiating. Pallbearers will be Jos. Pavlik Sr., William and John Lemorande, Arthur Graham, Nels Nelson and Edw. Tolman. Interment will take place in the catholic cemetery.
