Oconto Falls, Funeral services for William E. Volk, 94, a pioneer resident of Oconto Falls who died Tuesday morning at his farm home, will be held at 1:30 Friday afternoon at the Flatley Funeral Home and at 2:00 at the Methodist church with Rev. R. L. Greene in charge. Burial will be in the Volk cemetery.

Mr. Volk was born May 17, 1847, in Kewaunee, the first white child born there and came to this vicinity at the age of 10 years. He had lived in the city and town of Oconto Falls, moving to his farm home later, where he died.
