He had been employed by Northwest Engineering and was a union painter for most of his life. As a young man he was a Golden Glove Boxer. Curly was an avid Packer fan and enjoyed fishing, golfing and his large family gatherings. Curly and his wife, Donna (Behnke) would have been married for 55 years on April 23rd. Together their life brought seven children, 15 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren, Greg, Oconto, and his daughter, Betsy, Oconto; James (Cathy), Christchurch, New Zealand, and their sons, Seth, Timothy and Jeremy; Sue (Darrell) Anderson, Oconto, and their sons, the late Joel Anderson, Justin (Carrie) Anderson, Oconto, and their daughter, Olivia, Jerid Anderson, Lena, and fiancee, Brandi, and their son, Dalton Joel; Jodi (Bennie) Wittkopf, Green Bay, and their daughters, Andrea and Alyson; Kristine (Dennis) Polsen, Naperville, Ill., and their daughters, Kimberly, Jessica and Cassie; Patrick (Chyree), Coon Rapids, Minn., and their children, Soleil and Bryce; William (Lori) Oconto Falls, and their children, CJ and Alexa; four sisters, LaVerne Cyr, Green Bay; Darlene (John) Melland, Oconto; Sally (Alvin) Rudolph, Largo, Fla.; Marlene (Ralph) Hall, Largo, Fla.
Preceding him in death were his parents, a sister, June (Cyr) Zanders and his grandson, Joel Lee Anderson.
Family and friends may visit at Holy Trinity Catholic Church, Oconto, from 9 until 11:15 a.m. Wednesday, April 21, 2004. Funeral Mass 11:30 a.m. Wednesday, at the Church. The Rev. Fr. Paul Schumacher officiating.
