Wilmer C. Kersten, 58, Green Bay passed away at home Feb. 4, 1998. He was born on April 18, 1939 to the late Edward and Anna (Kranzush) Kersten of Lena. Wilmer was a 1957 graduate of Lena High School. He married Arleen Mielke on June 5, 1971. They farmed in Bonduel for 20 years. Wilmer also worked as a pattern maker for Griffen Industries and most recently Valley Pattern. He was a active Christian with the Hillcrest church of Christ.

Wilmer and Arleen raised three Christian children, Sharon Kersten, Tampa, Fla.; Rachel Kersten, Bowling Green, Ky.; Kevin Kersten, Green Bay. Other survivors include his sister Della (Larry) Deau, Suring; and his brother Clarence (Marilyn) Kersten, Appleton. Friends may call at Proko-Wall Funeral Home, 1630 E. Mason St., from 1:30 p.m. until 4 p.m. Saturday. Funeral service 4 p.m. at the funeral home with Dave Girardot officiating. Burial in the Kunesh Cemetery.
