Funeral services for William C. Harteau, 72, Oconto, were held Friday, April 20 at Zion Lutheran Church. Rev. Bruce Blocker officiated with burial at Evergreen Cemetery, Oconto. Gallagher Funeral Home served the family.

He died Tuesday, April 17 at his home.

Born March 16, 1929 at Oconto Falls to the late Mr. and Mrs. Clarence (Esther Graham) Harteau, he married June Larmay on Jan. 11, 1974 at Oconto. He operated Harteau frozen foods for many years. He was a member of Zion Lutheran Church, and the American Legion. He served in the U.S. Navy during the Korean Conflict.

Survivors include his wife; five daughters, Mrs. Kenneth (Julie) TerLaan and Mrs. Kevin (Patricia) Wille of Beaver Dam, Mrs. Michael (Linda) Dorn of Green Bay, Mrs. Gerald (Debbie) Larson of Oconto, Mrs. Joseph (Kathy) Fischer of Ontario, Canada; four sons, Steve (Laurie) Fischer of Oconto Falls, Scott (Cindy) Harteau of Kellnersville, James (Bonnie) Fischer of Hancock, Christopher (Julie) Harteau of Forestville; a brother, James (Marcie) Harteau of Waupun; a sister, Marjorie Pate of Oconto Falls; 27 grandchildren; 27 great-grandchildren; and a special friend, John Williquette.

He was preceded in death by his parents and an infant twin brother.
