Mr. Wallace "Wally" Byng, 71 Abrams died Wednesday evening September 8, 1999 after a short but courageous battle with cancer. Wally was born May 5, 1928 in Oconto to the late George Byng and Mary (Fox) Byng. Wally was employed as a concrete worker for most of his life. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, watching football, and building campfires on weekends. Survivors included four sons, David (Laurie)Byng and Joe (special friend of Linda Forsythe) Byng, Green Bay; Bill (Debby) Byng, Abrams, Scott (Lisa) VanDreel, Depere; two daughters, Karen Byng, Green Bay; and Patty (Rob) Rabida, Howard; a son-in-law, David Nitka, Green Bay; a brother George "Jim" (Nancy) Byng, Abrams; five sisters, Charlotte (James) Machurick, June (Norbert) Herr, Judy (John) Bakran, all of Abrams, Elsie "Sally" (Earl) Herr, Green Bay, Mary Jane "Dede" (Tom) Hallada, FL; a brother-in-law, Douglas Fredon, Abrams; 21 grandchildren, 7 great-grandchildren, nieces, nephew, other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, two sons, Mike and Steve Byng, a brother Richard, "Sam", a sister Lillian Ferdon and a grandson Chad Nitka.
