Motorist Killed When Auto Tips

William A. LaFortune, son of Mrs. Mary LaFortune of this city, met sudden death last Sunday while driving on State Highway No. 156. He was accompanied by Mrs. Julia Hildahl, and when about half a mile west of Nicholas the auto tipped over, resulting in the sudden death of Mr. LaFortune and the fracturing of the shoulder of Mrs. Hildahl.

The deceased was born in Cicero township, Outagamie County, December 2, 1887, and at the time of his death was 40 years, 9 months and 14 days of age. He is survived by his mother, Mrs. Mary LaFortune of Oconto Falls, one daughter, Miss Edna LaFortune of Oaks, North Dakota, three brothers, Sylvester and Albert LaFortune of Racine, Wis., and Calvin LaFortune of Oconto; and one sister, Mrs. Leslie Noel of Oconto Falls.

The body of the deceased was taken back to Black Creek where it was prepared for burial by a local undertaker and shipped to Oconto Falls, arriving here on Tuesday, and taken to the home of his mother. Yesterday the funeral services were conducted by Rev. H. A. Misdall, pastor of the local Methodist Episcopal Church, after which they were conveyed to Oconto and buried in Evergreen Cemetery.

The deceased, William LaFortune, had been a resident of this city and of the city of Oconto for several years.
