Veteline B. Fabry, 93, Lena formerly of Cty K, Oconto Falls, went to her eternal rest on on Monday Morning, May 6, 2002 at a local hospital.

She was born in St. Paul, MN on December 23, 1908 to Ole and Amanda (Vojie) Osman. As a young girl, Veteline traveled around the United States with her father, a minister with the Church of God, Body of Christ Ministries, playing the piano. She married John P. Fabry Jr. on June 6, 1935. He preceded her in death on February 19, 1986 after 50 years of marriage. They farmed their entire married life in Oconto County where Veteline's life was devoted to her family and farming. She was a member of Grace Lutheran Church in Oconto Falls and the Oconto County Homemakers. Grandma Fabry will fondly be remembered by her family for her great breadmaking abilities.

Survivors are six children, William and Donna (Behnke) Fabry, Ruth and Gaile Schneider, all of Oconto Falls; Rosaly and Leo Giles, Oconto; Esther Snyder and special friend Fred Koltz, Green Bay; Lloyd and Claire (Dorow) Fabry, Oconto Falls; Marie and John Slempkes, Jr., Lena; 27 grandchildren 33 great-grandchildren. Also, a very special friend 50+ years, Emma Schultz, special nieces and nephews, Dorothy Lamb and Marvin of Canada, Donald and Kathleen Lamb, Almond; Joe and Judy Lamb, Wausau; Tom and Darrell Lamb, Wild Rose and five sisters-in-laws, Ruth, Donna and Joyce Fabry, Gladys (Fabry) and Marvin Geronadale, Irene (Fabry) and Clayton Westcott; one brother-in-law, Orvin and Vi (Puseck) Fabry; one aunt, Viola Foral.

She was preceded in death by her husband John, her parents, two brothers, three sisters, two great-grandsons, five brother-in-law and one sister-in-law.

Friends called at Jones Funeral Service in Oconto Falls. Funeral service was conducted 11 a.m. Friday, May 10, at Grace Lutheran Church in Oconto Falls with the Rev. Doreen Jeffers officiating. Burial in Hickory Cemetery, Town of Maple Valley.
