Violet Zimmerman, 77, of 651 Congress St., Oconto, died Friday evening, March 6, 1987 at Riverside Nursing Home, Oconto, after a long illness.

The former Violet Mealy was born Dec. 19, 1909, in Pensaukee.

She married Wilbur "Boy" Zimmerman there May 3, 1927.

She worked at the Bond Pickle Co. in Oconto for 25 years, retiring in 1975.

She was an active member of church-related functions at the First American Lutheran Church. She also was a member of the Lutheran Women's Missionary Society, and the church's Ladies Aid Society.

She is survived by her husband: three daughters, Bonnie Milan and June Milan, both of Oconto, and Mary Carl of Menomonee Falls: a son, Gary of Madison: eight grandchildren; and six great- grandchildren.

A brother, Clifford, died previously.

Friends called at Gallagher-Pinkart Funeral Home, Oconto, Sunday, and at the church Monday where final rites were held. The Rev. Harold Aasland officiated.

Burial will be in Brookside Cemetery, Brookside.
