Vincent F. BENSER

Vincent F. Benser, 96, Lena, died Satiarday, February 12, 2000 at Riverside Health & Rehabilitation Center, Oconto.

He was born to the late William and Anna (Wurtinger) Benser July 9, 1903 at Clayton, Wisconsin. Vincent married the former Loval Kline, March 31, 1932 in Crandon, Wisconsin.

Vincent spent his younger days logging in Crandon until he moved to the Lena area in 1938 where he farmed and worked construction at Bahr-Construction Company of Manitowoc until retirement in 1964. His later years were spent enjoying the serenity of the woods and his love of nature, gardening and most precious, his family.

Surviving are his wife, Loval, one son, Clarence (Dorothy) Benser, Lena; one daughter, Joan (Alvin) Marquardt, Suring; three sisters, Deloris (Charles) Chase, Paso Robles, CA; Almara Brauil, Waterloo, WI; Fern (Norman) Anderson, Coleman; 12 grandchildren, 23 great-grandchildren, six great greatgrandchildren, and many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Vincent was preceded in death by one grandson, one great-grandson, four brothers, Walter, Leo, George, and Bill; two sisters, Myrtle Gunderson and infant sister, Leona.

Friends called at Rhodes-Charapata Funeral Home, Lena. Funeral service was held 1 p.m. Tuesday, February 15, 2000 at the funeral home with Pastor Ryan Landwehr officiating. Interment at Pine Hill Cemetery Spruce.
