Victor Belongia

Victor Belongia, 76, of 513 N. 10th St., Manitowoc, died Thursday 
evening.
Funeral services will be held at 9:30 a.m. Monday at Urbanek and Schlei 
Funeral Home and at 10 a.m. at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Manitowoc. 
The Rev. Cyril Van Heeswyk will officiate and burial will be in Evergreen 
Cemetery, Manitowoc.
Mr. Belongia was born Dec. 19, 1895, at Oconto, son of the late Oliver 
and Olive Carriveau Belongia. He married Elizabeth Novak Aug. 29, 1916, 
at Oconto. The couple resided in Oconto until 1932 when they came to 
Manitowoc. His wife preceded him in death in 1965. He was employed as a 
truck driver at Manitowoc Shipbuilding Inc., until his retirement in 1962.
Survivors include three sons, Ervin, Ralph and Everette, of Manitowoc; two 
daughters, Mrs. George (Pearl) Meisner, of Manitowoc and Mrs. Ray 
(Geraldine) Augustine, of Loveland, Colo.; three brothers, David, Lawrence 
and Earnest, of Lena; three sisters, Mrs. Austin Staudiford and Mrs. Walter 
Hutchinson, of Racine and Mrs. Clara Barkavitz, of Lena; 12 grandchildren 
and 14 great grandchildren.
Friends may call at the funeral home from 4 to 9 p.m. Sunday where the 
Rosary will be recited at 7:30 p.m.
