Utella Basten, Suring, resident of Woodland Village, died June 14, 2001. She was born in Antigo, and had retired to Anderson Lake with her husband Gordon after working in Green Bay for many years. She was a member of St. Michael's Catholic Church in Suring.

Survivors include her husband Gordon of Suring; her daughter and son-in-law, Rosemary and Roger Yakel of Green Bay; 11 grandchildren. Utella was preceded in death by her three brothers Ray, Merle, and Ivan.

Private Funeral Services were held at Gruetzmacher Funeral Home in Suring with Sister Karen Vollmer officiating. Burial in Fort Howard Memorial Park, Green Bay.
