Terra Zabel, 21, Green Bay, died unexpectedly Monday evening, March 12, 2001 in Green Bay. The daughter of Molly (Wellnitz) Alsteen and Terry Zabel was born on April 7, 1979 in Green Bay. Terra was a 1997 graduate of Oconto Falls High School. She was a loving and caring young woman who enjoyed helping others. She loved animals and, especially, her cats. Terra was an accomplished artist and an honored godmother.

Survivors include her parents, Molly and Dave Alsteen, and Terry and Bev Zabel; one sister, Tracy Zabel and Tad Carriveau; her godson and nephew, Dakota Carriveau; her grandparents Barb and Bob Zabel, and Harvey and Marian Alsteen; aunts, uncles, cousins, friends; and her two cats, Beary and Meow-meow. She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Fritz and Anne Wellnitz and one cousin, Joel Lee Anderson. Friends called at Jones Funeral Service, Oconto Falls after 2 p.m. Thursday until time of service. The Gathering was held at 8 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home with Pastor Mary Bush officiating. The family extends a heartfelt thank you to Pastor Mary Bush and St. Vincent Hospital 6th floor ICU for their loving care and support.
