Thomas S. McFadden, 49, Oconto, died unexpectedly Friday evening, August 3, 2001 at St. Vincent Hospital, Green Bay.

Tom was one of six children born to Stanley and Marjorie (Ahrens) McFadden on November 28, 1951 in Oconto. He was a 1970 graduate of Oconto High School, and received an Associate degree in Accounting from Brian and Straton Business College in Milwaukee. On June 21, 1980, Tom was united in marriage to the former Rose Phillips in Oconto and was employed by Cruisers Yachts Oconto for over 25 years. He was a devoted husband and father who enjoyed the sport of running.

Tom ran in four marathons, and also in the Schneider Run and Bellin Run, which was his favorite. In his spare time he liked to bowl and camp. Tom was a member of the United Methodist Church of Oconto.

Surviving is his loving wife of 21 years, Rose; a son, Steve and daughter Jennifer both of Oconto; his mother, Marge McFadden, Oconto; a brother, Richard and his wife Lynne, Oconto; four sisters, Linda Frewerd and her husband Raymond, Ellington, FL; Violet Hornick and her husband Gary, Donna Heroux and her husband Jeff, and Carol McFadden and special friend Todd Zeichert, all of Oconto; his mother-in-law, Margaret Phillips, Oconto; brothers-in-law, Richard Phillips and wife Sandy, Phoenix, AZ and Ralph Phillips and fiancée Angela Wusterbarth, Oconto; numerous nieces and nephew, aunts, uncles, cousins, other relatives and friends.

Tom joins his father Stanley, father-in-law, Lee and niece Tosha who precede him in death. The family will receive relatives and friends at the Oconto United Methodist Church, 641 Washington Street, Oconto from 4 until 8 p.m. Tuesday, August 7. Service of Christian Burial 3 p.m. Wednesday August 8, at the Church. The Rev. Frederik W. Schulz officiating. Ackerman Funeral Directors, Oconto, caring for Tom and his family. Raymond B.
