Thomas Konkle, 75, Dies At Farm Home

Thomas Konkle, 75, passed away at his farm home west of Lena Sunday. He was one of the last of the early settlers of this vicinity, having moved to his farm near Lena forty three years ago.

The deceased was born in Poland December 8, 1865 and came to this country at the age of 16 when he settled in Pennsylvania. Funeral services were held Monday at nine o'clock from the Sacred Heart church with Rev. J. R. Gruno officiating. Interment was in the church cemetery.

He is survived by five daughters, Mrs. Joseph McGavie, Olean, N.Y., Mrs. Harold Fierce, Oshkosh; Mrs. George Subert, Kimberly; Mrs Slavey Dufek, Lena; and Mrs. Martin Weier, Klondike; three sons, Michael, Lena, route 1; Joseph W. DePere, and Frank, at home; two brothers, Andrew, Lena; and Lawrence, Olean, N.Y. And one sister, Mr. Joseph Sesnak, Pound and 22 grandchildren. ------- End of forwarded message -------
