Theodore Eastman, 82, prominent retired Oconto Falls area farmer and seed salesman, died at the Oconto hospital Friday evening after a two-year illness. He went to the hospital Friday morning.

Mr. Eastman was born at La Porte Iowa, April 28, 1872, and came to Oconto Falls in 1910. Besides operating a farm in the Town of Oconto Falls for many years, he was a salesman for the L.P. Gunson Seed Co. until he retired two years ago.

Friends may call at the John Crooks Funeral home tonight. The Rev. Huntley C. Lewis of the Methodist church will conduct rites at the funeral home Monday. Burial will be in Woodlawn cemetery. Mr. Eastman's wife, the former Mary Saiberlich, died Sept. 1, 1950.

He is survived by five daughters, including twins, Mrs. Harry (Myrtle) Volk, Oconto, and Mrs. Hazel Fetterly, Oconto Falls, and Mrs. Frank (Florence) Loberger of Oconto Falls, Mrs. William (Marion) Allison of Tonia, Colo., and Mrs. Lawrence (Bertha) Birr, Oconto Falls; two sons, Harold of Milwaukee and Alvin at the Wood veterans hospital; three brothers Frank of Seattle, Wash., George, Thief River Falls, Minn., and Nelson, Guthrie Center, Iowa, one sister, Mrs. Everett Archer, Waterloo, Iowa.
