Sybil M. Bursa, 88, formerly of the Town of Brazeau died Saturday, March 4, 2000 at Sharpe Care, Ltd. in Oconto Falls.
The daughter of the late John and Agnes (Schlies) Vizelka was born July 17, 1911 in the Town of Brazeau. Sybil was married to James Bursa on August 23, 1941 in Chicago, IL. The couple moved to the Hickory area in 1945 where they operated a farm for about 15 years. They then moved to the Town of Brazeau on Lee Lake Road. He preceded her in death in 1982. She was a member of the Altar Society of Ss. Francis & Wenceslaus Church, Klondike.
Surviving are one daughter, Agnes (Jerry) Wismer of Broomfield, CO; three sons, Charles (Nancy) Bursa of Coleman, Robert (Joan) Bursa of Green Bay, and Allen (Kathy) Bursa of Coleman; eight grandchildren, three step-grandchildren, and six great-step-grandchildren; one brother, Cyril Vizelka of Suamico; and one sister-in-law, Joyce Vizelka of Oconto Falls. Besides her husband she was preceded in death by two brothers, Edward and Method and one sister, Vlasta Holtger.
Friends may cal at Ss. Francis and Wenceslaus Church, Klondike from 9-11 a.m. Thursday March 9, 2000. A Mass of Christian burial will be held Thursday at 11 a.m. at the Ss. Francis and Wenceslaus Church, Klondike with Rev. John Hephner officiating. Burial in St. Wenceslaus Cemetery, Klondike.
